Selena Marie Gomez, /s@'li?n@ /goUmez/s@LEEn@ was born July 22, 1992. She is an American actress, singer, and producer. Gomez's acting journey began with the children's TV series Barney & Friends (1902-2004). She became famous for her role as Alex Russo, a teenage character on the Disney Channel television show Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-12). Gomez executive produced the Netflix television series 13 Reasons Why (2017-2020) and Living Undocumented (2019) through her production company, July Moon Productions. She also executive produces and appears in the HBO Max cooking series Selena + Chef (2020-2022) as well as the Hulu mystery-comedy show Only Murders in the Building (2021-present). Gomez received critical praise for the series and also received nominations for an Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award as producer.
