Taylor
Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomena A superstar who managed to completely cross over from country to the mainstream making her an iconic popular icon, and sweeping all over the world at the same time. Swift removed the influences of country as if they were an additional layer of skin and revealed she was among the finest singers/songwriters from the generation she was born into. Swift could make the moment personal or harness it to her advantage. Swift's talents are evident in some of her earliest tracks, notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless released in 2008 Swift was able to discover who she is and find a wide audience. Fearless became a worldwide hit and not just in North America (where it earned with six platinum awards for Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. and many other countries. Swift soared to the top of stardom with Speak Now. She grew in popularity through her subsequent three albums: Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift became a household name within an industry she felt was hers to be. It was not long before she reformulated her approach in 2020's more streamlined siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
